I can’t do it alone! Training, development and labor market integration of disadvantaged young people
The Find your way to the world of work project is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment.
During a conference, together with educational institutions, employment experts, development initiatives we discussed what we have done so far and what we can do for the successful integration of disadvantaged and Roma youth in education and employment.
Participants had the possibility to view, in international context, the most effective tools for corporate diversity, empowering disadvantaged young people, effective vocational training and labor market integration.
At the meeting organized by Autonomia Foundation, the approach and objectives of two related projects were also presented: the HRom program, which connects Roma high school graduates with white-collar positions at large companies and the Startline program for vocational training and blue-collar employment of disadvantaged youth. The implementation of the latter in Romania is the Find Your Way to the World of Work, a career orientation program partnered by Caritas Alba Iulia.
