The Project Promoter, together with his partner and collaborators, through an integrative approach, aims to respond to the needs identified at the level of the marginalized communities and families in difficulty from Odorheiu Secuiesc, as well as the fulfillment of measures and indicators of the Local Development Strategy of Odorheiu Secuiesc 2018-2023.
The role of the Partner is very important in the present project. As direct responsible for the welfare of citizens, the Municipality develops different partnerships with actors from different sectors, in social care issues collaborates with the Project Promoter based on the needs of the target group.
Through this project, the Project Promoter seeks on the one hand the establishment of an Integrated Community Center by renovating and arranging spaces owned by the city that will be dedicated to long-term social services. On the other hand a series of interventions are planned, the beneficiaries being all families in vulnerable situations that live in the four distinct areas. The center will provide basic social services: personal hygiene services, social counseling and assistance services, education and training services for young people and adults, early education services. Interventions from the other distinct areas will contribute to the participation of children in the education process, to reduce the risk of school dropout, to increase the chances of access to jobs. As an integrative part of the project is the provision of mobile medical services and the arrangement of an accessible General Practitioner’s office for the marginalized community.
Within this Partnership, the long term sustainability of social services will be assured.
The main objective of the project is to combat discrimination, increase the inclusion of marginalized communities and empower the roma community into Odorheiu Secuiesc through an integrative approach and a series of social, medical, educational and employment support services.
