Saint Elisabeth Charity

Saint Elizabeth is the patron saint of Caritas, a role model of love in action. On this memorial day in particular, we invite everyone to be grateful to the elderly, to treat them as we would like our children to treat us.

The organizers of a fundraising event promoted it with two questions: Did you eat today? Did you do it today? The difference is only one word, yet it directs our attention from ourselves to the hungry, the needy. St. Elizabeth’s Day is the celebration of Caritas, love in action. In all Catholic churches of the archdiocese, the money collected on Sunday, November 17, as well as the online donations made here, will be used for the elderly beneficiaries of Caritas.

We encourage everyone to be our companions on the path of active love, which is nothing more and nothing less than eating, doing, being. To be human.

In 2023, 313.630 lei were collected for needy and disadvantaged children, for which we thank all donors with a grateful heart. Together, we have helped countless children finish school, get a job at the right time, and lead a dignified life.

With prayer,
