The Superar Choir brought joy to our hearts

„Beautiful sign, beautiful star, / Our beautiful day is dawning, / Our beautiful day is dawning” – sang the Superar Choir at the Christmas concert on the 10th of December at the National Theater in Tîrgu-Mureș. Their song radiated hope and joy which spread to us, their listeners.

More than a hundred cheerful children with mischievous smiles waited excitedly behind the scenes, then stepped on the stage in red Superar T-shirts, the girls with red ribbons in their hair. Their youth radiated joy, purity, kindness and the proud awareness of singing in the choir. We are referring to the talented children who are attending Caritas Alba Iulia`s childcare centers in Sângeorgiu de Mureș, Cotuș and Zetea, as well as the students of seven towns from Brașov, Covasna and Harghita counties. There were children performing from Asociația „Speranța în Acțiune” – Hope in Action Association from Zizin, Gábor Áron School from Chichiș, Czetz János School from Ghidfalău, Forró Elek School from Angheluș, Benedek Elek School from Cetățuia, Xántus János School from Miercurea-Ciuc and Kájoni János School from Ciceu.

The cheerful group of children sang special Christmas songs in several languages, accompanied by appropriate gestures. Their captivating performance was made even more atmospheric by the magnificent music of the Evilági Band. As we watched and listened to them, we had some profound realizations, such as: the joyful radiance of childlike, pure existence, the beauty of cultivated musical sound and the thrilling sensation of singing together can be, indeed, a real Chrismas gift for us.
